During one of my internships, I worked as an app developer for a startup named Juvo. They've developed a non intrusive sleep sensor that slides under your mattress and monitors your heart rate, breathing and movement, which it uses  to understand what's happening with your sleep cycles. It presents this information to you via an app, along with suggestions to improve your sleep. It can also be used to help monitor infants and the elderly. 

 

My role was IOS app developer. Myself and one other student began developing the functionality and visual presentation the team was looking for. In a little under 2 months we developed around two thirds of the app's function in Objective C. I was asked not to keep any visual documentation of the work we did. This was my first experience with this scale of programming, and I was unfamiliar with Objective C before beginning.
